BUILDING AN ISEC COOKER WITH A MINIMAL SUPPLIES
Mon May 10, 2021 12:11 am
Hello ISEC Researchers,
last saturday, may,8,2021 the ISEC Cameroon Team, built an ISEC cooker with a few supplies we had in hand ; that is :
- pots
-heating elements
-thermal protectors
-solar wires
-a 100W / 12V solar panel.
-glue and others
we've assembled eveerything according the construction manual downloaded from the ISEC web site.
Without a silicone tube, we've tried something interesting !
Our main worry was about the fact that the sunshine was not continious ; we waited from 8 AM to 1PM our Cameroon time , befotre we coold cook three eggs with our ISEC cooker.Presently we are in teh rainy season in Cameroon while the dry season ( with too much sunshine) begins from the end of november, each year.
If we want to succeed in introducing the ISEC cookers in the Cameroon market as a serious alternative to usual cooking fuels such as LPG gas , charcoal and firewood, we must make each ISEC cooker directly operational, available and efficient .
To move ahead with our project , we plan to launch in Cameroon,a start up named GREENCOOKER , after we test our ISEC model of cooker with some neighbours located near our ISEC workshop in Yaounde Cameroon .
To make ISEC cookers reliable and compete with other cooking fuels,we suggest the below :
1) Add a 12V / 18-20AH Gel battery to each ISEC kit to supply in order not to keep the ISEC cooker users waiting for a continuous sunshine while they want to cook with an ISEC cooker ;
2) the ISEC cooker kits components will depend on the ongoing season in a country like Cameroon : during the reainy season ( from march to end of november each year ), a Gel battery should be used ; during the dry season with enough sunshine ( from end of november to mid-march each year ) , no need of a gel battery to use with our ISEC cookers .
Thanks you
