Aluminum Puck Thermal Storage Empty Aluminum Puck Thermal Storage

My son and I made a video this weekend. I simply put our 2.7 kg aluminum puck inside of the cookpot and got it hot (I don't know how hot because I didn't have a thermocouple probe on it. However, it worked really really well. This isn't what we're going to build because people probably don't want to put an chunk of metal in their cookpot, but we have some ideas to discuss.

How about using a smaller pot and place the metal chunk between pot and heater ?
