Experience with Saw Dust
Wed Aug 25, 2021 6:09 am
Using Saw Dust as a form of insulation didn't really work out well for me. I used an adhesive that didn't bond the saw dust to the Plastic bucket housing the Cookpot.
Saw dust came off after it's application, i later put the saw dust in a cloth and sealed it to wrap around the base if the Cookpot but there was still some significant heat loss.
Moving forward i might go back to using saw dust as a mode of insulation using other methods.

Emmanuel,
I think that Peter Keller (Aid Africa, Uganda) worked with saw dust but it didn't work out so well. I might ask him about it. I'm still concerned about it burning.
Pete
